A longtime pillar of the WCReplays community,
David “SystemShark” Pawlowski, passed away on June 24, 2014 after a long battle with brain and pancreatic cancers. Shark was an innovative audio commentaror who introduced broadcast professionalism into the then-nascent and amateur world of game analysis. He headed the audio department here for over six years and in addition to being one of the most prolific commentators in Warcraft III history, he was a mentor to other staffers, a friend to all in the community, an avid beekeeper, and a gamer with infectious enthusiasm. Most of all, he is someone we will all dearly miss.

Wow that is extremely shocking , and unfortunate news . I was not so active during the peak of war3 but I do remember when SS was added an audio commentator ! During the Cygnus days if I'm not mistaken .
Hope his family is taking it ok , and God help us all.
Extremely sad news. Shark was a very cool guy and loved by everyone.

shark. :( I havnt listed to his commentaries in probably over a year but i swear i still remember his voice very vividly.
He was a big part of my life growing up in this website and ofc a big reason why i am the way i am today. We are all going to miss him dearly.

Holy shit, I can't believe this. Such a young and cool guy. I remember when I did some audios a long time ago and he gave me some nice feedback and stuff. Life can be so fragile at times... :(
